Forensic Weather Consultants offers two levels of service for hail, wind and tornado reports. Both of these services utilize the most reliable and official wind and hail records available. We’ll perform an in-depth meteorological analysis for each incident location based on a specific address or by zip code.
Short Hail, Wind and Tornado Reports
If your case is not yet in litigation, we offer a shorter hail, wind and tornado report that you can submit as evidence supporting your wind or hail damage claim or denial. These reports will provide you with several types of color Doppler radar images zoomed in over each incident location as well as site-specific information and opinions about hail size and wind speeds for any specific incident location you request. Insurance companies, public adjusters, engineers and roofers that have ordered these reports have found tremendous value by documenting what size hail and wind speeds affected their loss location, if any. These summary hail reports and wind weather reports can be exchanged or utilized to resolve claims, but they should not be used in litigation cases.
Cases in litigation require a much higher level of wind and hail damage documentation and data inclusion than cases not in litigation.
For those cases in litigation, mediation, arbitration or going to trial, we offer a more detailed forensic hail, wind or tornado report that lists all of the sources of data relied upon and downloaded, as well as the methodology involved, numerous images and data, and our conclusions. These reports conform to the federal rules of evidence and provide all of the necessary documentation and methodology that is required for litigation. These hail reports and wind reports are among the most detailed and reliable available in the country and are frequently selected over other products that are not as reliable.
